Mumbai is shaken by a series of brutal murders, mostly occurring at night. Encounter specialist Francis D’Souza is assigned to lead the investigation. Meanwhile, Gauri, a college student from a middle-class family, begins to exhibit disturbing behavioral changes. Her worried family seeks help from a local exorcist, Baba, but dissatisfied with his approach, they bring her back home. Eventually, Gauri makes a shocking confession to her parents—she is responsible for the recent killings. Desperate for answers, they consult psychiatrist Debu, who is left stunned after his first encounter with Gauri.
